8 Hours Sleep #2 - The Slow Home Experiment
This month’s Slow Home Experiment sees Ben and I trying to get 8 hours sleep every night, and I have to say, it’s been pretty straightforward so far.
As I mentioned in last week’s episode, I've found myself gaining the extra sleep in the morning rather than the evening (that is, going to bed at the same time at night and waking an hour later than normal) which is having an impact on my days.
My early morning time is usually devoted to yoga or going for a walk, plus some meditation, and I really love being up and ready for the day before everyone else. So it’s been a little challenging to adjust my mornings to waking with the rest of the family, and I have to admit, I don’t think I like it.
I do, however, like the days where I’m not waking up to an alarm clock, so I’m sure there’s more to unpack here with this experiment.
We’re also heading off for a few nights camping, and I’m convinced that will make it easier for us to get good sleep, while Ben (who loves a home ground advantage!) isn’t sure how it will go. Rest assured though, we’ll let you know.
Also, don't forget, you can play along with us by tagging your social media posts with #slowhomeexperiment and sharing your experiences. Hit us up on Instagram and let’s get experimenting!
