The impromptu

It’s Pogday! Which means there’s a new episode ready for your ears.

Today’s episode is an unscheduled hostful - which we’re happy to go with, because lately life has showed me that the only thing certain is uncertainty - and in it, Ben and I talk about the many ways that slow and care and, in particular, tilting, are working in our lives right now.

My Dad remains in the ICU and we still find ourselves doing the ol’ ICU Two-Step (back, forwards, sideways and repeat) so Ben and I have been digging deep in to what it means to show up in life, even when things go to shit. Ahem. To put it bluntly.

To be honest with you, I’ve found a lot of gratitude amongst the hard stuff. Gratitude for Ben and our beautiful kids, for my family, friends, the nurses and doctors who have worked so tirelessly to save my Dad’s life on numerous occasions and also for the gut-kicking lessons I’ve had to learn and relearn over the past 10 years.

At no point could I have forseen just how helpful the ideas of slowing down, tilting in to where I need to be, and more recently, the importance of care would prove to be, but man, I am so glad to have been through those lessons. They’ve helped us in more ways than I can count.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this episode, and as always, thank you for being here.
