The Slow Home Podcast has Arrived!

The Slow Home PodcastToday is the day, my friends. The day The Slow Home Podcast hits the virtual shelves of the iTunes store and the day I learn to accept the sound of my own voice. We live life in the fast lane. We race to keep up with The Joneses. We are over-worked, over-committed and over-stressed, and we compete on how busy and important and sleep-deprived we are. But we don't need to.

There is an ever-growing group of people who are opting out of life lived at 110%. They are choosing to slow down, simplify, say no and focus on the things that are truly important. I'm one of them, and in The Slow Home Podcast I chat to others who have adopted a similar approach to life - slowing down, opting out, saying no.

We chat about their ideas, experiences and stories. We dig in to what it means to create a slower, simpler, more intentional life, and what that looks like for a variety of people.

Because one thing is certain - trying to create a slower, simpler life does not have a one-size-fits-all solution.I'm so excited to get this show out into the world that I will be releasing a new podcast every day this week, so be sure to check back in each morning to listen to the newest conversation. After this week, you will find a new episode of The Slow Home Podcast both here and in iTunes every Thursday morning (Australian time).

What You'll Hear in Today's Episode:

While most of the episodes of The Slow Home Podcast will involve me and another guest, in today's show, that guest is actually, well, me.This is a conversation between Sparky and myself, as we talk about my discovery of simple living, starting the blog and what he remembers as the pivotal moment that helped us create a slower, simpler life. We also talk about what it's like (for him!) to live with a minimalist, and how that looks in a family home. So, excitedly, nervously, peeking between my fingers and squinting in terror, I give you the first episode of The Slow Home Podcast.
